We can hardly believe it is nearly October and the holiday season will be upon us. The Company has been busy taking 3 classes and rehearsing weekly. Our choreographers are knee deep in choreographic research, creating phrases and motifs, working with time and space, and narrowing in on important subject matter. We have taken tours of The Road Home family shelter, spoke with employees, and are learning more and more about Utah's homeless. It is important to us that we bring an awareness to this shelter newly built in Midvale and the programs they bring to our community. By using our voices, we can influence others, using our art to broaden awareness to assist and recognize those who are suffering unfortunate circumstance during the winter season. Join us this year in donating and attending Body Logic Dance Company's latest concert, "Without a Roof" Nov. 18, 2017 at 2pm & 7pm. Discounted tickets when bringing a new or gently used winter clothing and accessories. We are also accepting donations year-round at Body Logic Dance Studio. RSVP @ www.bodylogicdance.com today!! Body Logic Dance Company is kicking of their first annual Humanitarian Concert Series. Sounds interesting, right? We think so too! We are so excited to announce a new series in the works with the company, and a local charity for this season. This first charity we will be working with will be The Road Home. We will be creating ways we can provide services for Salt Lake City's homeless through art/giving/performance/dance. We invite you to participate in any way you can as many opportunities will arise. While selecting local charities and causes, we found there were so many organizations out there doing amazing work! We thought about the values each one believed in and how that reflected through their services. We also looked at how they supported our values as a dance company. The Road Home's values were simple yet, not particularly something you see in a business motto. •Equal Treatment •Compassion •Respect •Dignity Can you imagine the difference one could make if we tried to honor each other with these four values? Tonight we we are going to tour The Road Home Center, in Midvale. This location is for families suffering from homelessness. We are all looking forward to the lessons and impact this journey with The Road Home will serve us with humbled anticipation. (If that's possible!) For more info about The Road Home, their services, or how you can get involved check it out here! Keep checking out all our social media pages for updates on this amazing journey. We invite you to join us, and get involved with ways we can support these unfortunate members of our communities. Ps. I created a button that should take you to a video on The Road Home FB's page. If it doesn't work (never tried it before,) check it out on FB or visit their website https://www.theroadhome.org/. Took this from The Road Home's FB page. What are you doing to impact the lives around you and where you do more?
