Body Logic Dance School's teen company program for ages 12-17 years is designed to give dancers an experience and opportunity to learn firsthand at the life of a professional dance artist. In our classes, dancers will follow our unique syllabus to learn and prepare for a well-rounded education. Our intended goal is for our dancers to succeed in pursuing a dance career. Whether our dancers are focusing on dance performance and education in a college setting, already working or hoping to work in the dance industry, or owning their own dance studio, our dancers will be prepared and encouraged to be leaders in their communities regardless of the path they chose. Dancers MUST AUDITION for the program and company invitation and placement will depend on level of ability.
Required classes include but are not limited to, ballet, modern, jazz, and choreography/workshop. Dancers have the opportunity to take master classes in varying genres and aesthetics, dance theory and somatics, along with dance-conditioning, yoga/pilates. Company members have the opportunity to perform in Body Logic Dance Company annual presentation of "The Nutcracker and the Mouse Queen," they will participate and can submit their choreography in Body Logic Dance’s annual choreography festival, and perform in the school's end of year concert.
Senior Company will take class and work with our professional company (Body Logic Dance Co.) and may perform in other professional concerts and performances throughout the year.
Our company classes are curriculum-based. Students must participate in every class assigned in order to meet the requirements to remain on the company.
