Tuition: Payment is due monthly, and is divided into equal payments for an 11 month season.
Once classes have begun, all tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable. Credits will not be issued. Monthly tuition is based on the average of 3.6 classes per month. Some months have as few as two (2) weeks. Other months have as many as five (5) weeks. Automatic billing is available.
A valid credit card MUST be on file with the office. All accounts MUST be on our auto pay tuition system. Auto Pay accounts will be charged the (5th) of each month. We do NOT accept cash accounts. However, you may pay with cash before the 5th of each month, and your card will not be charged for that month.. There is a 2.75% credit card transaction fee for all credit card payments.
Any account unpaid after the fifteenth (15th) of the month will have a $10 late fee. A monthly statement will NOT be mailed from our office. Monthly dues may be checked online at any time in the parent portal. If a printed statement is needed, it will be made available upon request. If your card is declined you will need to rectify the situation upon contact by the office and you may be charged a late fee.
Overdue Balances: A statement will either be mailed by regular mail, or emailed for past amounts due; including late charges as well as overdue payments. Any student with an overdue balance of more than 60 days will not be allowed to continue classes until payment is received in full, or payment arrangements have been made. If for any reason a student wishes to discontinue classes, there will be no obligation to pay for the balance for the remaining school year. However, families will be responsible for any amounts that are past due.
Withdrawal or Refunds: We ask for 14 days’ notice to discontinue monthly classes.
Withdrawals should be done in person at the front desk, or by personally speaking with Serena or Melanie. Teachers cannot authorize withdrawals. A withdrawal form must be completed and signed. Any automatic payments will be discontinued after the one- months’ notice. Non-attendance does NOT constitute a withdrawal, and is not an adequate reason for non- payment of tuition. Body Logic Dance Academy reserves the right to terminate any student if deemed necessary. Only in this case will a refund be issued. If you wish to discontinue classes, you will be required to re-register your child if you return, and they may lose their place in their class.
Important Information: Students WILL NOT be allowed to participate in classes or performances, if the account is not current. There are no refunds for tuition, costume fees or performance fees, FOR ANY REASON.
Missed/Make-Up Classes: Please email or call us as soon as possible if your student is going to miss class for any reason. This is extremely helpful for the teacher, especially during class rehearsals around performance times. Classes missed can be made up within one month of the date of absence. Make-up classes can be scheduled with the front desk and should be discussed with the teacher. Attendance will be taken during each class by the teacher.
Attendance/Tardiness: Regular attendance to all classes in a student’s program is necessary in order to maintain progress. Attendance is a strong consideration when placing students in classes and performances. Students later than 15 minutes to class may be asked to sit and observe upon the teachers discretion. This is mostly for the safety of the dancers and will protect them from injury.
Pickup and Drop-off: Please arrive at the studio 10 minutes prior to the beginning of class.
This will insure that classes are not interrupted by the arrival of late students. The studio is not responsible for before- or after-class care of students. Parents should bring children into the studio, and come into the studio after class to pick their children up. Students will NOT be allowed to wait outside the building. Please be respectful of the waiting area. If an unsupervised student(s) waiting in the lobby are being disruptive and unruly, a behavior slip will be issued and the parent will be called immediately.
Dress Code: All students are expected to dress appropriately for each class and to follow the dress code. Failure to follow the dress code may result in student being asked to sit out of class. A dress code slip will be sent home with the student and must be signed and addressed by the parent/guardian by the next class time. Two locker rooms are available for student use. The studio is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Please leave valuables at home, inasmuch as it will not be permissible for individual students to have personal lockers and locks. Student’s valuables should not be left in the lobby during their class time.
Behavior and Discipline: Students are expected to show respect and kindness to their teachers and peers at all times. We ask that dancers come in with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. We believe in a positive disciplined atmosphere for the students. If a dancer shows disrespect to a teacher, they may be asked to sit out during class. Any such behavior will be noted and reported to a parent or guardian; a behavior slip will be issued at the end of the class and sent home with the dancer. The slip must be signed and addressed by the guardian/parent before the next class time. Students are also asked to help keep the lobby area and locker rooms tidy and uncluttered. Absolutely NO gum or food in the studios. A closed water bottle is permissible. No cell phones in class.
Recital and Costume Fees: Body Logic Dance Academy will have a winter and spring recital throughout the season. A annual registration fee of $35 per family will be due with the family’s first tuition payment. This will contribute to the cost of the facility, sound, music and lighting. All costume fees are included in monthly tuition. If a student starts classes late in the year, a “costume catch up” fee will be due along with the first month’s tuition payment. Each student will be measured for costumes during class time.
Events and Dates: It will be the responsibility of the parent or adult student to be aware of all important dates of the studio. Parents and adult students will be asked to provide the studio with email addresses so we can electronically send important information. Students will also be sent home with hard copies of upcoming events only if there are forms needing to be signed. Newsletters and notices will also be posted on the bulletin board in the lobby area. Please periodically check your email and the bulletin board to keep current with all Academy activities. Families should in turn keep the Academy updated with any new personal information.
Studio Closings: Body Logic Dance Academy will follow the Canyons School District holiday schedule. We will also follow any snow day closings issued by the school district or extreme weather reports announced on the news. Snow days can be made up within 30 days with a similar class. No credits or refunds will be issued.
Photo Release: A photo release form will be issued upon registration. If signed, the parent or guardian agrees to allow the studio to take photographs or videos of their student to use in brochures, flyers, websites, posters, advertisements or other promotional materials the studio creates. Permission is also granted for the Academy to copyright such photographs in its name.
Injuries: Parents and legal guardians of minor students waive the right to legal action or any injury sustained on the Academy's property on or off-site location resulting from student activities before, during, or after class time.
